Knife Making:

We will first pound the glowing red hot metal into an elegant knife, shape it, quench it, and temper it. We will then craft a wooden or Scandinavian handle for your blade. Sharpen, and you are ready to go, having your very own handmade blade bearing the imprint of your own hard work.

In this blacksmithing class you will create a cook set used to rotate meat over the flames or to hang your pot or dutch oven over the fire. In this class we will focus on the decorative aspect of blacksmithing as you create you own unique treasure chest. We will cut and forge the handles, hinges, corner brackets for a chest. You will also forge a few nails to pound into the top of the chest.
