Backyard Blacksmithing Class: Knife Smithing
This course is designed to teach the basics of blacksmithing a knife. Yes, a boyhood dream of many people. We will pound a glowing red hunk of high carbon steel into a useable, functional, and beautiful blacksmithers knife, also called a viking knife.
We will go over the techniques of shaping the steel, the proper quenching process, and the all-so-important tempering of the knife. Everyone will walk, or drive, home with their very own handmade knife.
